'Teach the Blacks FALSE doctrines'- Jules Renquin- Belgian Minister

HYPOCRITE- Minister for the Colonies in Belgium, Mr Jules Renquin, 1921 October.

This is in relation to the white Christian missionaries leaving to Kongo from Belgium.

‘Teach them (Africans) doctrines which you will not yourselves put the principles into practice. And if they ask you why you behave as opposed to what you preach, answer them that ‘you Blacks’, follow what we say to you and not what we do.

And if they replied while pointing out to you that ‘a faith without practice is a dead faith’, get angry and answer: ‘happy are those who believe without protesting’.
